Dr. Maggie Hughes is a highly experienced clinical psychologist with experience in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills training, and Mindfulness-Based interventions.
Maggie is experienced in working with adolescents and adults across a broad range of areas and has particular interests in worry/anxiety/panic, psychosis, bipolar and depression, trauma, deliberate self-harm, substance abuse and eating disorders.
Maggie has worked in hospital and community mental health services, specialty youth services, drug and alcohol services, and general psychology clinics. She is known for her calm relaxed style and holistic client-centred approach to treatment. Maggie is passionate about working with people to create lives that are worth living.

Maggie has completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (1st Class Honors), a Bachelor of Criminology & Criminal Justice, and a Doctor of Psychology (Clinical). She holds general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) with endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist and is a PsyBA-approved Supervisor. Maggie is a Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA), a Member of the Australian Association of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (AACBT), and a Member of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science.
