Barb is a Counselling Psychologist with experience working with adults and older adults. She is a very skilled and compassionate practitioner who comes from a background of nursing, of being in the Royal Australian Navy, and, for the last 25 years, working in psychotherapeutic settings.

​

Barb works with a range of presenting issues including, but not limited to:

 

• Trauma

• Depression and other mood disorders

• Life crises

• Adjustment issues

• Stress

• Anxiety

• Grief and loss 

 

Barb also has significant experience working with first responders and veterans.

Barb’s other passions include growing her own food, gardening, wildlife and the environment, the arts, travel, being creative and movies.

Qualifications:

 

Barb is qualified with a Masters in Social Science (Counselling) from QUT; Masters in Gestalt Therapy (Bris); Bachelor of Arts with majors in Visual Arts and Psychology (Deakin); Graduate Diploma Counselling (UNE); Grad Dip in Soc Sc (QUT) and a Grad Cert in Prof Ethics and Governance (Griffith). She is a member of Australian Psychological Society and a Member of the College of Counselling Psychologists. She is registered with Australian Health Professionals Registration Assoc.
