Mark is a performance psychologist with years of experience as a professional and dual career athlete. Having played professional table tennis in France, Sweden, Denmark and Germany, Mark understands the pressures of both individual and team competitive sport.

Mark has experience in both sport and general counselling settings. He has worked with international, professional athletes and teams from both individual and team sports through to hobby athletes and “everyday” people looking to live more healthily. He believes that psychological support is most effective when it works both on a practical and cognitive level, giving strategies to cope with difficulties in the short term while working on a longer-term improvement. He uses evidence-based therapies and strategies, most commonly Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and looks to adapt these to fit the individual.
